We pack a lot of technology into a 1-ounce cartridge

Our ready to use cartridges enable you to run a variety of critical tests at the patient’s bedside. Using biosensor technology and advanced microfluidics, the i-STAT cartridge is the foundation of our portable, handheld system.

To perform a test, simply draw two drops of blood, close the cartridge, and insert it into the handheld analyser. That’s it. Results are reported in just minutes.

i-STAT cartridges allow you to perform a number of critical care assays in the following areas:
