Axis-Shield UK wins twice at regional business awards

Axis-Shield UK won two awards at the 2005 Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards. At a gala dinner held in November, third place awards were presented to the Axis-Shield team for ‘employer of the year’ and to Katrina Peacock, office manager, for ‘employee of the year’. In addition, Mike Younghusband, MD for Axis-Shield UK, was shortlisted for the ‘business person of the year’ award. He said, “We are extremely pleased to have been so successful at this year’s awards. People enjoy working at the company which is family-friendly and recently accredited as an Investor in People.”

Likewise, Katrina was thrilled with her award in recognition of her hard work.

Recently, she was entirely responsible for the very successful move of the company warehouse from Dundee to Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire, and setting up the new offices there. Mike Younghusband explained, “Katrina put in a huge amount of time and effort to ensure the move went so well – an outstanding job of coordinating the many services and suppliers involved with opening the office on schedule.”
