Integrated Diagnostics Workshop (4 February 2010)

We're very pleased to be sponsoring and attending a local workshop for NHS staff on Thursday, 4th February 2010.

The Integrated Diagnostics Workship is aimed at referrers, providers and commissioners of diagnostic services working within the East of England. It's aims are:

• To explore integrated diagnostics services in particular diagnostics in a community setting, possible mobile service provision, cutting across traditional staff boundaries, including Point of Care Testing, X-Ray, Ultrasound, diabetes diagnostics etc
•  We will bring together the chairs and members of the Acute, Planned Care and Long Term Conditions programme Boards from the NHS EoE, PCTs, PBCs and Diagnostics teams from the Department of Health to discuss integrated diagnostic service provision and decide where to focus pilot work to best effect.

There will also be discussion topics covering:

• Mobile diabetes diagnostics – phlebotomy, eye care, foot care, POCT and US
• Mobile chest services for COPD – xray, spirometry, phlebotomy, POCT
• Mobile general diagnostics – US, Xray POCT etc
